Yesterday brought great fun with great friends. Lorena and Timmah had the gang over for an Ides of March party starring several of the most wonderfully horrible disaster movies you can imagine. Tons of good food and tons of drink. We all had a fantastic time!
Then last night Chris and I went to Gary’s annual going away party at Betsy’s place out in Micanopy. What a beautiful setting! Her house is so peaceful, and there was a bonfire out in the woods, strings of colored lights showing the path. Chris juggled fire, which always thrills Betsy (and me!) to no end, and of course there were plenty of people playing hand-drums. There was also a guy playing the sitar! He was totally jamming!
Today C&I plan on getting him settled in a bit. Chachi and he brought the rest of his possessions from Jacksonville yesterday, so we’re going to get the audio and video equipment hooked up in the ‘Den of Iniquity’. Get his clothes and stuff upstairs and generally try to get him comfortable here. It’s important for me to make him feel as much at home as possible. That might be tough, and it will take a while to happen, because he is moving into a pad that I’ve occupied for several years now. Over the past few, I’ve spread my things throughout the house, decorated the place to my liking, and totally made it mine. Now we need to figure out a way to make this home his as well. I’m confident that it will happen, though, and that we’ll be very happy here.
