It’s finally happening.
I am finally starting to get psyched about Halloween! It took me a little longer than it usually does due to so many other things going on. What usually gets me going is preparing for Necronomicon. Since I didn’t go to Necro this year , I didn’t even think about any kind of costume for that event. And lately I’ve been putting all of my crafty/creative time towards working on my clogging team’s ‘costumes’ for our upcoming open house (On Tuesday, November 18th at 7:30; Westside Recreation Center on the corner of NW 8th Ave. and 34th St.!).
But last evening Laura and I trekked to Center Stage, and that got me started in the Halloween spirit a little bit. Then Chris and I got a great start on his costume. That is what truly got me excited about the season. After some frustrations with cutting out the fabric, the pants of his outfit got sewn together quickly and easily, and they fit him perfectly. It was a pretty big victory for me, since I had a to a bit of pattern altering: a task with which I have little experience.
This morning C&I talked about what kind of food we want to take to the annual Halloween party. Then I remembered that I’m taking half a day off on Friday to help Laura drink booze. Um, I MEAN, help Laura decorate and prepare for the guests! And, boy howdy, didn’t that helped get me riled up for Halloween! Can't wait!
