Chris left this morning for Texas (more classes for work), and I got up with him at 6:15. Since he was out of bed with me yesterday at 6:30 so I could go to the yard sale, it was only fair. Besides, I don't much like rolling around in those vast expanses of sheets and goose down without him. He left an hour ago, and I've had a couple more cups of coffee. I've read the first few essays of The Bitch in the House, and watched the morning get brighter. I'm not too lonely for my sweetie yet, so I'm very much looking forward to a day of adventure.
I'll have lunch with Marcy, and we'll go to the fish store. It's not the fish store that I usually frequent, so that will be nice and different.
I plan to do some bike riding today, too, as I inherited Chris's old Cannondale this weekend. I haven't ridden to speak of for quite a few years. And I don't remember exactly liking it. But I've *got* to start moving this consistently aging body of mine. Not just so that I can fit into my 'old' jeans by Valentine's day, but because it's the healthy thing to do. I don't move much, you see. I sit a lot at work, I sit a lot at home. I sit in the car, and at restaurants. I sit at J&L's and drink beer. I sit far, far too much. So less sitting and more moving!
I'll have a nice dinner this evening of chicken and peppers and onions and dressing, rolled up in a tomato and pepper tortilla, most of which Chris prepared for me last night, bless his heart. And watch Blue Velvet. I haven't seen that in ages. There will be some cat box cleaning in there somewhere, and some tidying about the house. Though Chris did practically all of the laundry yesterday (Yes, I'm bragging!). And I'd like to go see Monster with J&L, too.
Wish me luck on fitting all of this in in one day!
