One fish, two fish, red fish, NEW FISH!
It's still a hobby. It's not an obsession.
Meet Wanda:
She's a beautifully colored female Betta.
This is Pat:
Pat is a baby Betta! His/her sex is undetermined (Hence the name 'Pat'), but judging from the hints of red and blue on his/her fins he/she is surely going to be a lovely color upon puberty! Or whenever Bettas get their color.
Wanda and Pat each have their own filtered ~1 gallon tanks on my shelf at work. This afternoon Jen's Betta, Aries, came over for a play date. Aries is in a round bowl, so I couldn't get a decent picture of him. But being close to Wanda's tank got him quite excited! He flared his red fins at her all afternoon. You've never seen a Betta look gorgeous unless you've seen him in the presence of a female. You go, Wanda!
