Freaks and Geeks

Until last night, I hadn't been to a sci-fi convention in nearly two years! Can you believe that? There was a time in my life where I was trying to hit one every 6-8 months, even if was just a little comic book convention in Orlando or what not. In the past couple of years, various things have kept me from attending these sort of twisted social gatherings, and I've missed them dearly.

We didn't do a whole lot of note last night. Drank some booze, chatted a lot. Yeah, nothing different there. DreamCon had karaoke last night! Kelly was as excited as you can imagine. After an extra couple of swills of her drink, she and I sang Abba's 'Dancing Queen'. In front of people that I've never met before. If you don't look at the audience, you can actually forget that they are there. I pictured myself in Kelly's living room (even though Kelly's karaoke set up is *much* nicer than the one used last night), and had a good time! Thanks to the boys and Sandra for their support!

Chris is cooking breakfast for us now. Another Bailey's and coffee, a shower and shave, and we're heading back to the hotel for more... drinking. And perhaps snag an autograph or two.

Story of note: Chris ordered an 'angus bacon cheese burger' at the BK lounge yesterday. The automotron told him, 'We don't have an angus bacon cheese burger. But we can make an angus burger and put bacon and cheese on it for you.' Why, thank you. And you aren't in grad school because...?
