It wasn't until I was on my home from work tonight, listening to 'Wart Hog', that I realized that Johnny probably never said, '1 2 3 4!' in his life. That was Dee Dee's line. My apologies to the spirits of both men. I blame my grief for the mistake.

Hearing you scream, '1 2 3 4!' into the microphone has filled me with insurmountable glee for years. Your memory will hold a special place during my birthday celebration for the rest of my life.

Happy Birthday, Jasmine! I hope your day is surrounded by as much love as mine was yesterday!

...to my wonderful 'chosen family' who made this day so special for me. To those who made phone calls, sent email, had sex, and shared meals with me today: I love you all! You make my life worthwhile. I would not be the person I am today without each and every one of you. Thank you for all that you have given me in this very blessed life.

And it was even off to a good start *yesterday*. I came home from work to a house full of the smell of birthday cake baking. That's one of the most delicious smells in the world! Chris had gotten us a delightfully delicious bottle of champagne which we downed quickly enough to leave me a little tipsy as I wandered off to bed. Having taken the day off of work today, I was able to sleep in this morning. Chris brought me very sweet birthday card, along with a mock menu from the 43rd Street Deli. He had made me a replica of my favorite breakfast from my favorite breakfast place! Served with piping hot coffee, grilled biscuits, and two red roses - one for each of my birthdays that he and I have had together. What a wonderful man! What a wonderful day! Soon I'll be off to have my hair and brows done, then I'm meeting Chris and the Tutogen gang for lunch. A couple of errands to run, and Laura is picking me up at 3:00 to get drunk. I mean, to take me to her house so that I can keep her company while she cooks my favorite dinner for me! Yay! So here I go, off to complete my fantastic birthday!

Look at the time this was posted, and know that C&I have been up for over an hour, and have already taken a 25 minute walk. Not the fastest walk. Not the longest walk. But enough of a walk to feel it a bit. Such is the routine of the new regime. The slightly healthier, much sweatier regime. The regime that has lost 20 pounds between the two of us in the past month. Hoorah for us, and wish us luck over the next month or so, when this routine will either make or break itself.
