Look it! Look it!

I just realized the myhosting.com has a photo album template. Check out my new webalbum! So far it's just Halloween photos from last night and Necronomicon photos. The album is so easy to use, I'll try to post older photos later on.

I will *not* let this cold get the best of me

Didn't make it to Nandy and Brian's last night. We even left J&L's pretty early. 10:30 or so. I was just beat, and not being very social. I took quite a few photos, though, and hope to post them soon. As always the food was plentiful and delicious, the drink was ugly, and the guests were well costumed! Speaking of which, Penny showed up dress as *me* on my wedding day! Hah! Tight black leather skirt, red bustier, a lovely black veil, and fake red hair! It was great! Like I said, photos later.

We plan on going to see Donnie Darko the Director's cut this afternoon. 2:30 to be exact. So if I take my cold medicine at, say, 10:30, I can sleep the sleepiness of it off for a couple of hours, and it should still be in effect through most of the film. Then C&I will head to Target to register for wedding gifts. Plenty to do before and after that: lots of laundry, clean up the bedroom (Marcy gave us a wonderful dresser! I didn't think we'd have room for it, but we really needed the drawer space. Chris got it to fit in the bedroom and it looks great.) and the cat room (Hoping to follow Lorena's lead and get some clear bins in which to put my fabric and such. The cats have torn the well-labeled cardboard boxes all to hell.), post photos from the past couple of weeks, call Pe and Em, and practice some clogging (If I can figure out what the hell I did with my tape and cue sheets.). A full day! No time to stop to nurse a cold! The extra hour today is going to help tremendously.

As expected, this weekend is turning out to be pretty fab.

Had the lovely Colleen and the entertaining Roger over for dinner last night, as a late birthday gift to Colleen. Much barely cooked steak and garlic smothered carbohydrates was consumed.

I woke up with a cold this morning, so I've been fighting that off. But it didn't keep me away from going to Kelly and Robbie's for zombie movies. Liz treated us to a presentation of her zombie public service announcement.

Off to J&L's now with ear muffs, blue wode, and tool belt in hand. Then we hope to make it to Nandy and Brian's later.

Happy Halloweeeeeeen!!

H-A-doubleL-O-W-doubleE-N

Looks to be a promising weekend! Steak dinner, multiple Halloween parties, and Donnie Darko. Oh, and the aforementioned laundry folding and cat box cleaning.

Two lists

Goals for tonight:
1) Fold at least one basket of clean laundry and put it away.
2) Clean the cat boxes. (Five cats. I really do need to do this every day.)
3) Go to bed before I fall asleep on the couch.
So far, I've only done number three. But the night is young.

Things Chrissi and I emailed each other about today:
1) Food
2) Our hair
3) Depressing, whiny blogs, and why people read them
4) Food
5) My wedding dress
6) Kendall
7) Food
And we actually had to throw a phone call in there about why one of my bosses set up the 401(k) in the way that he did.
Work is fun sometimes.

Breakfast

Why, oh WHY can't someone make an apple that tastes like a sausage-egg-and-chee biscuit? Why?!

Baby steps, people. Baby steps.

My only goal for tonight was to not fall asleep on the couch. Check!
Come on, Monty. Off to bed.

Good weekend

Yesterday was a lovely day. I spent most of it hanging out at Cafe Gardens with Tammy and Chrissi, eating, drinking, and eating. It was a carb fest of great proportions, and by 5pm (Having gotten there at high noon) I was a bit more than tipsy, with a tummy full of good things. I must admit, though, it was weird to have a slight hangover at 9pm.

Watched Saved! last night. Well, I watched most of it. I fell asleep for a while in the middle there. But that didn't detract from the plot. It was pretty funny! I give the humor an 8, and the plot a 4. Rounds out to a 6, which isn't bad for a Mandy Moore/Macaulay Culkin flick. Jena Malone rounded things out a bit for them, as she's a decent actress, and cute as a button. Speaking of Jena, don't forget that the director's cut of Donnie Darko is playing at the Hippodrome from October 29th - November 4th!

Today shall bring good tidings as well. Chris has been cooking a pork roast all night long. The house smells *so* good! Barbara will be joining us for a delicious pork BBQ lunch today. The weather is already beautiful as I didn't wake up in a sauna this morning. We've had the windows open and the a/c off for a couple of days. A sure sign that autumn is here. Hopefully it will last longer than a couple of weeks.

Look who's back

Shamelessly whored from Snarkland:

You Should Be a Martini for Halloween!

You Should Be a Martini for Halloween!

What should you be for Halloween?

Hey, good idea. That, or a construction worker.
