Lovely weekend, isn't it?
What a sweet weekend I'm having! And it's only half over!
Becca and I got together on Friday after work to do some knitting and some planning. We are organizing a yarn crawl for our Stitch and Bitch group in a couple of weeks. I'll be on the hunt for some laceweight or fingering weight yarn to use for our group's upcoming shawl knitalong. I'm going to make a lacy poncho instead of a shawl. It'll be my first lace pattern (Patterns, really, because there are three different lace patterns in the project. I figure it'll be a good sampler for me.) except for the few rows of simple feather and fan stitch I'm using for a secret project right now.
Yesterday brought lots of lazing around the house, then dinner at Las Margaritas in celebration of Lorena's birthday. Afterwards a couple of us came back to our place for some good ole champagne drinking by the Ring of Fire! I think we'll be making this fire thing a pretty regular occurrence. This morning Chris rekindled the flames (Oh, that could sound dirty if I wanted it to.) and we drank our coffee by the morning heat. It was ever so wonderful! I love this country life.
I spent quite a chunk of time yesterday attempting to upload a goodly sized knitting WIP entry, but Blogger is not happy with my photos. Some will show up, some won't, some will if you click on the little red box with the x. Hrmph. I'll try again later this evening.

I'm so bummed we missed sitting around the fire, but I'm totally psyched for the yarn crawl! Yay!
I love that lacy poncho! I've been searching for the right project myself- I admit that I'm a bit jealous. That's just perfect. I can't wait to see it finished.
