Idyllic Chick

And it's not even over yet.

As C&I were leaving for an early showing of The Prestige, we noticed a short, stumpy, brown sploched snake near the sidewalk. We took pictures of him with our camera phones, but none of them came out worth a darn. So going by our memories alone, we think it was a cottonmouth. Joy. A coral snake under the trailer, and a cottonmouth in the yard. I've read that they are both pretty docile snakes, but still. Doesn't make me feel easy about taking the dogs outside.

As for The Prestige, good film. I'd recommend it. Wonderful actors, including Andy Serkis (Gollum!). Keep your eyes out for David Bowie. I completely missed him until Chris elbowed me in the ribs.

After a lunch of popcorn at the theatre, we trucked on over to Body Tech's new shop in Alachua. Ever since I got my lip pierced, I've been on a bit of a tattoo kick. I had been checking out BMEzine about lip piercing stuff, and I've kept going back to look at tattoos. I've been mulling over various tattoo ideas I've had over the past few years, but none of them were hitting me as something I'd like to do right now. I don't exactly know how the idea came to me, but yesterday I decided I want a golden snitch tattoo, and that I want it now. We'll be leaving for the tattoo shop again in about five minutes so that I can talk to the guy about drawing something up for me. Exciting! But I still get nervous. You'd think I'd be used to this by now.
