Oh the Rogue, she do blocketh

I am pleased as punch to say that this morning I wove in ends, grafted the hood, and started blocking Rogue. Eeep! I had no idea how to work the grafting on the top of the hood: reversed stockinette background with crossing cables. I think I would have ended up paying someone to do it for me if it weren't for PumpkinMama. This file walked me through the process step by step. So where are the photos of the beautifully grafted Rogue hood? Not here. While the directions were perfect, my grafting is not. Somehow I ended up with an extra stitch on one needle, even though both needles had the proper 38 stitches when I began. I guess I accidentally looped a strand around one needed as I was grafting and grafted the thing in like a stitch. Poo. So the grafting job isn't very good. Not horrible, but very amateurish. Which is appropriate since I'm an amateur, but it ain't nothin to show off here. I started to ungraft and start again, but I then realized that I would most likely make a bigger mess out of than I started with. I'll be showing off the goods when she is dry and seamed up, but no close ups of the hood, even on its good side.
