Chris' First Socks are completed!

Details
Pattern: 3x1 rib, Easy toe from Sensational Knitted Socks, and a short row heel from the same book

Yarn: KnitPicks Essential in Burgundy and Navy

Began the first sock May 30, 2006 and finished it July 31st. Began the second sock January 11, 2007 and finished it March 10th.

My memory tells me that it took me several months to finish the first sock of this pair, but my knitting journal tells me otherwise. The second one seemed to go *so* much faster, it's hard for me to believe that it took exactly the same amount of time to knit as the first. I remember knitting and knitting on that first one. It just seemed like it would never end. Boyfriend has some pretty big feet, ya know. Which is why it took me six months to start the second sock. I was dreading it, but it ended up being a lot of fun to work on, especially once I got to the leg portion.

As for the yarn, eh. It's great boysock yarn. Heavy feeling. Kind of scratchy to work with, but Chris says they feel great on his feet. But it's superwash, and you can't beat that for boysocks.
