Weekend of The Laze

I did NOTHING yesterday. I have a pretty big list of things to accomplish within the next couple of weeks, but instead of being productive I woke up, went to the couch, covered myself with puppies, and knit and watched tv all day long, with intermittent naps. It was glorious. I finally bathed around 4:00, then Chris came home from work and took me to the Outback for dinner. A huge plate of cheese fries is a wonderful way to top off a day of nothing.

When we got home from dinner I started on a new sock with some *lovely* yarn. I'm doing it toe up, so my sock will be upside down from the one in the pattern, but I think it will be pretty. I used the magic cast-on from Knitty, and am quite very pleased with it. I've been searching for an easy toe up cast on, and as per Brenda's advise, this one hits the spot. It may have turned me into a toe up gal! Now to find a happy non-short-row heel.

I'm very much enjoying working with yarn that is more luxurious than what I was using for Chris' socks (Which I finished yesterday! Yay!). I'm using size two needles, as suggested on the ball band (Or rather the websites I found that sell the yarn. The ball band doesn't have a suggested needle size.), but I'm a loose knitter, so I think the sock might be a little big. The cool thing is that I'll know this for sure before I get too far into the sock, so I won't mind ripping back and doing the cool cast-on again.

Today I'll have to catch up on things that I missed yesterday, laundry being the most important. But I'll get plenty of knitting in too, I assure you!
