"It's got a 28.8 BPS modem!"*
As per one readers' (Yes, reader with an 's'. There is actually more than one of you.) request, here's the scoop on my new (It's my first!) laptop. It's a Dell XPS M1530. The sedan of the XPSs. Not as small and cute as the M1330, but not the huge SUV style of the M2010. Just right. It *is* sportscar red, though.
Intel Core 2 Duo T5250 Processor (1.5GHz/667Mhz FSB 2M L2 Cache)
2GB, DDR2, 667MHz 2 Dimm Memory
15.4 inch Wide Screen WXGA TrueLife LCD with 2.0 MP Camera
128MB NVIDIA GeForce 8400M G Video Card
160GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive
Running Vista, of course. I'm sure I'll adjust.
Upon reception Dorothy (Just came up with her name right here and now! Yay!) was wiped clean right down to the bone, then C reinstalled all of the software without all that pesky Dell crap all over the place. Tomorrow he's going to move all of my desktop stuff into her and she'll be my everyday machine.
