1 Down, 49 To Go

This past weekend I completed my first 50 By 50 item! #12 is ‘Wear my wedding dress again’, and I did that very thing on Saturday night at my 25th high school reunion. I knew that I was overdressing for the event, and I warned my classmates of that. Regardless, I was a bit nervous about wearing so much frillery to what was essentially a blue jeans kind of function.

But my fears were put to rest when I passed a 12 year old girl on the sidewalk after parking the car. She saw me, her eyes opened wide, and she said, ‘I know I don’t know you, but I love your dress!’ As long as I have the unsolicited pre-teen (or even the pre-pre-teen) vote I’m happy! So I walked into my reunion with my head held high, and received several compliments. Yay!

So without further ado, here are the formal pics of what I felt was my grown-up prom. I’ve included a couple of photos of the original dress as a ‘before’ comparison. I’m really pleased with the result, and am looking forward to wearing my wedding dress again and again!
